Ups and Downs (mostly downs) of compilers

So, my project partner for compilers started this project out by flaking out on me pretty badly, but like so many bad partners I’ve had in the past, he had a good excuse or five (had to reformat computer, lost screen name, jabber server operators broke interserver communication, etc). Plausible, and I don’t doubt they’re all true… but they don’t strike at the heart of the issue.

I’m a bit concerned. I did manage to get him to respond, and he did help out a bit after I prodded him and mentioned that we are pretty much screwed… but it was somewhat too little too late.

Now I’m going to spend the next two days debugging and implementing, hacking away at this stupid parser to get it to recognize expressions and arrays and crap, alone, because he’s going home for the break in 12 hours.

*sigh*. Oh well, such is life. At least I’m in a better position to do that than I was last time, or the time before.
