Guitar Status: mini-hero
Whoo … Guitar Hero definitely has its hooks sunk deep into me…
So I keep doing these short sessions … maybe 5-10 songs, an hour or two, sometimes less than that.
As of the last one, I’m alternating between hard and expert mode. In hard mode, I’ve 5-starred all of the first tier, 4-starred all of the second, at least 3-starred all of the third, and 4-starred Cochise and Ziggy Stardust out of the fourth tier. In expert, I’ve 5-starred I Love Rock and Roll, 4-starred the rest of the first tier, 3 or 4-starred the whole second tier, and haven’t started working on the third yet (because Expert “Sharp Dressed Man” is really freaking intimidating!).
This means I’m still nowhere near the level of a couple of my friends (Josh, Josh’s brother, Kefer) … but those guys are just crazy hardcore, and have been at it for a good while longer (since the Kevin Smith thing, actually, so it’s been like 4 months). I wonder when I’ll catch up

My roommate’s got some frustrations with the game though, ’cause he’s sort of got a claw for a left hand. I sort of feel bad, ’cause he’s having a lot of trouble getting any better, while I’m just sort of striding confidently forward, one finger-numbing session at a time.
On the other hand, he’d kick my ass at just about any FPS you could name, so I guess it sort of balances out. *shrug*
