A quick “life and times” update
Either allergies or a nasty cold kicked on over the weekend. I spent Sunday sort of uncomfortable, and Monday and most of Tuesday totally out of it.
Today was a bit better — I feel so-so. I sound like death… but I feel somewhat more alive, at least. So that’s good.
Work’s not too bad. Same el-same-o. Set up an OpenBSD packet filter in front of the domain controller, the various webservers, etc. OpenBSD PF is pretty easy to do that stuff with … to open all the necessary ports for ADS to work (non-replicating, but with client endpoints connecting and doing things), along with opening ports on two other webservers, allowing dhcp and dns traffic both ways, and filtering everything else took something like 6 variable declarations, 3 “set” statements, and about 14 rules total. Interesting that the logs have to be viewed via tcpdump … but whatever.
So yeah, that’s life, and times, and such. Sometime I’ll have to finish these long thoughtful drafts that I’ve got piling up… but not when I’m feeling spaghettified.

When I take over the world, you better finish those half-baked thoughts! =P
