a very distant bang of metal on pavement
someone coughing on their deck
This, I know that other people probably exist. I wouldn’t have predicted any of them (except for the bunnies maybe) at 2:00 in the morning on a monday morning.
This is the only evidence of the phenomenon I’ve seen this weekend. It’s been a good weekend. Nice and quiet, except for the sounds I’ve made.
I wonder how long the city would continue to carry on as it is right now if the intervention of people to maintain it were to stop. I bet the first thing to go would be the power plant, and that would be the end of that…
