Ok, so here’s how it all went down since my last post.

May 30th, I checked out this apartment over on South Chauncey. It’s a 1-bedroom over in Crestview IV. Seemed like an ok option, so I said I’d take it. Continued packing. Arranged a u-haul cargo van for Thursday, and got serious about the packing and cleaning bits.

Thursday morning (May 31), I signed the sublease, enlisted Tejas’s help to get the uhaul van, spent all afternoon loading it and cleaning out my apartment. Spent all evening unloading it, getting the last of the stuff from my apartment, and buying random things I needed (like groceries, cleaning products, things I had left behind or discarded that I’d need).

Friday morning (June 1), returned the van, got power transferred over to my name (still need to do gas, vectren was having “technical difficulties” when I called them), got internet. I bought an airbed friday, and the motor immediately burned out, so I returned it and ordered a platform bed and a memory foam mattress friday. Unpacked a bit, stashed some stuff. Spent all day organizing, calling, returning, juggling, etc. Lots of chaos happening.

Now I’m mostly arranged, mostly moved in, there’s food in my fridge and liquor on top of it, a bed’s going to be here sometime next week, and things are generally looking up. I’m still sore, still under-rested (crashed around 6 pm due to exhaustion, woke up around midnight due to soreness from sleeping on the floor), and still getting used to being here and getting settled, but … I’m here.
