The jobhunt…
So, got a rejection letter for the System Engineer position over at ECN. I can’t disagree … it was the job I didn’t really want.
The ECN sysadmin who was supposed to be recruiting me seems to have decided against it, or something. Or just forgotten. Maybe he’s busy… I dunno. I decided about a week and a half ago that I was done just hanging around and hoping the Purdue HR process would result in anything, though.
So, I posted my resume on Monster on Thursday night. Friday and today I got potentially interesting hits from recruiters, and I’ve got a couple phone interviews arranged. None of it so far is exactly what I’m looking for, but … it’s interesting, nevertheless.
So yeah, things are looking like they might be ok, but I’m probably not going to be hanging around campus next year. So it goes…
I like my current apartment. It’s got adequate space for my junk, and it’s in a nice location. The approach to it is also nice: there’s greenspace right outside my door.
