consequences.

First, the consequence of my last post. I’ve been working 8+ hour days. I’m hoping to make enough to cover a maymester tuition shot and still handle groceries and rent, but I’m not sure how realistic that is. It’d be nice.

The second “consequences” subject is …. grades. Got compilers grade. Not the F I was expecting, not the C I wanted. Right in the middle, D.

So, that means I didn’t completely bomb it. But I didn’t exactly waltz through it either.

Ahh well, live and learn. This is two times that project 2 has hosed me in compilers, and the second time I’ve suffered in a class as a result of group work on projects. Bleh.

I think, as it stands right now, I’ve got a plan though. This summer, I’m taking Psy 240K – maymester social psych. Gotta finish it off with better than the D I got the last maymester I took it (which was a result of me not realizing that there were weekly papers and which were a fourth of the grade — there goes 25% right off the top, and the other 7% or so that I lost in the class on exams destroyed the grade). So yeah, psy 240K maymester. Maybe Polisci 130 in summer session. Networking and Artificial Intelligence in the fall (gustavo teaching networking, and AI actually being offered). Then, a choice. Compilers next spring, if the schedule looks good. If not, then retake 448 next spring and do compilers the fall after that. Either way, also include Phil 240 (Racial and Ethnic Diversity requirement) and Psy 222 both some semester or another. The last semester, whatever it is, tack on a third class and do the “phil 30x” requirement for the minor, and with 2 classes this summer, 2 per semester next year, and a final 3-class semester I’ll be out.

That’s pathetic. I’ve completed my 6th year here and I’m planning on another 3 full semesters to graduate. 7 and a half year plan. Ahh well, as long as I get there sometime.

Maybe I can get work to make me fulltime and stretch those last few out to one a semester while making “real world” pay.

Yo dude. It’s all good. Sometimes I wish I was still in university because the “real world” is different from the college world I lived in. But not too much.

Just take it easy man ^^. And screw some of those professors, you know more about computers than most I would imagine.
