Today I scheduled an interview for Friday for what sounds vaguely like a web dev job, coding PHP all day. I don’t know if I’m actually interested or not, but it’s … sort of just there I guess.

I also 5-starred Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld and Ballroom Blitz (guitar/expert) on Rock Band, among other Rock Band goals. That leaves Green Grass (that’s what, 7 minutes of insane soloing?) and Can’t Let Go (evil chord transition that I can’t do quite that fast) as the only non-download songs I haven’t at least 5-starred, plus Blackened (which is just flipping hard), and Working Man (which has lots of crazy soloing too — it’s Rush) still all hovering in the four star range, and Ride the Lightning still at a point that I just can’t pass it. Something about absurdly fast 4-note wide sawtooth patterns that I just can’t do…

I’m waiting to hear back on other things that are going on. I’ve started paging through an O’Reilly book on network topics and entertained the idea of giving myself programming assignments to keep myself sharp, but so far have been noncommittal on both fronts.
