MR05 Day 1
Yesterday went really well. We had some minor issues that came up … a dead hard drive on one of the workstations, a couple weird addressing things going on, some miscellaneous confusion, a misconfigured lecturer station in the Rawls 4th floor lab. But we had a spare system to swap on, straightened out the addressing, figured out who needed to be where when, and got the lecturer station fixed all in due time.
We also had not enough air conditioning power in the mobile command post tent, which annoyed some people because it was pretty hot in there, but they lived, no biggie.
I was a little busier than expected … got 2 games of gnu-go in, didn’t do any reading or much surfing. Did take about 50 pictures with the digicam though (in related news, a couple coupons just hit slickdeals that might take the price at dell home down to like $230 … I’m very seriously considering picking one up with those, as long as I can get it for under $300 I’ll be ecstatic about it). I’ll post links after I go through and throw away the really craptastic ones.
Now, to go off for another day. All I’m doing to start is making sure things are still up … my real job today starts at 11, after the action ends and when I’ve gotta do cleanup stuff.
Whoo…
