MR05 Wrapup, Impressions
So yeah, Day 2 went pretty well. They had this neat idea, to basically do a mock evacuation and take everyone out to the Forestry building (about 7 and a half miles away, I’m told) for the wrapup and after-action review. Apparently that went pretty well. I didn’t get time to take any pics. No machines died. Takedown was done by 2:30 PM thanks to Jennett (the envision sysadmin) and her student helper, and the help of one of the security staff.
Seems like the technical side went pretty well on the whole, and the scenario was decently good. It sort of seems like some of the food people were unhappy with how things went, and the food scenario and the other stuff didn’t really tie into each other very well, but … that’s just how it goes, I guess.
The whole week kicked me into a morning-like schedule. I’m going to try to maintain it for a while, it seems rather nice. Between that and the exercise, I’m sleeping better, waking up more refreshed, and generally feeling better about things in general. Speaking of which, I’m about half an hour overdue for sleep. Time to hit it.
