This abcnews story talks about how Japan is about to levy very large tariffs on US Steel imports, in retaliation for the US’s unfairly high tariffs on non-US steel.

But the US steel industry can’t compete.

Probably because of overreaching unions in the 70′s and 80′s, and so on. I dunno, it’s 2 hours after my bedtime, and I can’t complete this thought coherently, so I’m not going to. I’ll just go to sleep and see if it makes sense in the morning.
